Day 235 - 130 Days to Go

It is official (although I have known it for a very long time) I hate ironing. And the reason is, I'm not very good at it. My lovely sister in law even bought me one of those miny shirt iron boards years ago and I still have wrinkles. I was almost going to call Shaunan and make her an offering. If she would do all my ironing (and I really don't have a lot), I would do all her mending and hemming. And then I remembered, I don't like mending or hemming either. Maybe if I offered to make her quiche's every week!!!!!!!

Maybe the skill isn't lacking in me, maybe I need a funky new iron that automatically gets the wrinkles out. Is there such a thing? As for the hemming, Bill has figured out that if he wants something done right away, and it looks professional, he takes it to his sister. The son has not figured that out yet. Although he really doesn't care what it looks like, and he's afraid to ask for it right away, in case I make a trade and ask him to clean his bedroom.
So I'm in the laundry room ironing, hemming and I open one of cupboard doors and I see some material that matches the umbrella on our patio set. I can't quite remember why I have extra material. I open it up only to discover 4 lovely placemats for the table. I better bring them up or they will never get used.
Got a chance to watch a couple of episodes of Lost this afternoon. It's sad to see Kate using Sawyer because she can't have Jack. (which I was Kate))))))))
In the evening, we head out for supper for the son's birthday. He invites three of his soccer friends and we go to Gaucho's. It was delicious. I'm pretty sure everyone left there with full stomachs. It was back to the house for desert and the guys are just heading into the hot tub now!
