Day 246 - 119 Days to Go

Oww, Owww, Owwwww - did I mention Owwwwwwwwwwwww
Two things stand out for today.
1) Dentist appointment for me this morning. Lasted almost two hours. Went to get a couple of crowns replaced. The dentist asked me how I was today - my answer "nervous!" Why, she asked (doesn't everybody answer that to a dentist.) Because, I say, I'm afraid the freezing won't take and I'll feel everything. Well, she says, lets just give you some extra freezing right up front. She neglected to mention she's have to give me 100 extra needles (I stopped counting after two, but I'm pretty sure it was close to 100ish) I thought it would just be one and keep pumping in the juice. Well how ever much she gave me, it worked. Couldn't feel a thing. (at the time) but after the freezing came out, all the delayed pain came back. I did get a compliment from the dentist and her assistant though; I had could control over my saliva (good thing there were no pictures of Brad Pitt around) and I could control my tongue. (in the words of Shaunan, that's a good thing and hard to do for some of us). So by the time I got out of the dentist office, I looked and felt like I had been hit in the face by a ton of bricks; and it was no longer morning. What I wouldn't have done to have been able to climb back into bed and stayed there for the rest of the day. But, that darn laundry fairy took the day off again. If anyone sees her, tell her she is fired.
I did get a chance to lay on the bed with the intention of grabbing 1/2 hour. But seems we've got a newlywed pigeon couple moved in the back entrance and they were busy cooing. Even Maya was getting annoyed. So I got up, opened the back door, and slammed it shut. They both took off for a tour of the golf course. I'll probably be getting a nasty "surprise from management about the noise. I know what Bill will be doing this weekend - hosing off the roof!!!! When I told Bill about the visitors, he thought he should get the ladder out after supper and see what the birds are doing there!!! I tried to bite my tongue - didn't work. I asked if he wanted to see if it was a bungalow or a condo they were building? Maybe I should have suggested canned air to clean the roof!!!
So the second thing about today was the son's first school soccer game. Their school won 3 - 0. The son got the first goal in the first play of the game and the best part..............wait........................
"I seen it!" That doesn't happen very often - usually I'm chit chatting with another parent or off watching a less stressful game. But I seen it and I was pretty sure it was him. That was my day in a nut shell.

BODY: Advil, advil, and advil. If they hadn't finally kicked in, I was going to search for the lost Tylenol 3's.

MIND: Louise Hay "I am in the process of positive change." Yes I am.

Good night
Stacey
