I'm sorry did I fall asleep and dream it was December!!!! No, we just got the normal April weather for Calgary. Two feet of snow - wet, white, I'll melt by supper time snow! It was perfect snowman weather - but alas, people weren't in snowman making mode - more like "work in my garden" mode, so the weather wasn't very popular. I'm still blaming it on Bill and his golfing though.
The best part was the son's soccer practice got cancelled, and the son and Bill were able to come to Caylee's 1st birthday party. There were munchies and punch (sometimes google can be trustworthy), and a catepillar cup-cake - surprise. Alisa did such a good job on the cupcakes. They look and tasted just like the ones Ben and Karen had at their wedding! Hmmm, Alisa, maybe there is a home business in there somewhere!!!! Caylee's main priorities were the boys and the food - we must be related!!!
Came home after the party and got stuff ready for the BBQ. I tried a new recipe for the chicken that we had gotten from Seattle. It was good, but not worth saving (didn't cry out "wonderful") so will move on to new experiments. I did like the wet wood chips (fruit flavor) that we got from Seattle. They kept any flames that might have started on the meat. Will try those again. (gave everything a smoke flavor)
Watched an episode of Lost before supper. Then sat down as a family (it's getting more and more difficult). Held our family meeting to see what's going on this week - soccer and golf. Another two weeks, we'll throw in my line dancing and who knows when we'll see each other again!!!!!!!! Time to stock up on some ready made dinners for the revolving restaraunt.
The son wanted to watch another episode of Lost after supper and I wanted to play a game of cards. So we did what was only fair - we played ping pong and the winner of the best out of three got to pick. So let me tell you about the Lost episode. -----one word "confusing!"
The daughter arrives home tomorrow morning - must remember I'm the one picking her up!!!!
BODY: Ping pong with a purpose. We had some great rallies, but I haven't been able to beat the son in a long time.
MIND: Louise Hay "I?m glad to be alive and so grateful for the good that has come my way. "
Good Night
Stacey
