What started out as a 3 game school soccer tournament, turned into a five game tournament. Normally I don't go into all the soccer details, but I'm sure Miss S-H-A-U-N-A-N will appreciate it. So Friday night the boys won their game. What I then heard from the son was there would be two games this morning, this Saturday morning. So the boys played Western Canada first and it was tied at the end of the game 0-0 so they went to a shoot out and won. Then they played another game right away against E.P Scarlett and they won that game 2 - 0. That's when I found out there would be other games at other fields. So we popped into Tim Hortons for a quick bite and a quick pee!!! Then it was off to the third game of the day - against Abrehart. What a surprise to see some of the club boys. Had a nice chat with them and Cliff. The boys were tired by now, this was after all their third game in a row. Luckily they pulled it off and won 1 to 0. It was a tough one though. Then as the sky began to turn dark and darker, the boys were playing right away again against Fowler. The game wasn't nearly as exciting as the last three games; (maybe because we were sitting in the car to avoid getting wet from the lovely present from the sky!) The Fowler team, wasn't an exceptional team, but our boys played their kind of soccer and pretty much didn't seem to put much effort into it. It could have been a combination of a couple of things - 1 - they were tired and 2 - they had to wear different jersey's to avoid a white on white jersey game! Fowler got to keep the white jerseys. We could also blame it on the rain, but really, both teams had to play in it. (maybe it's because we the parents sat in the car - naw)
So that is how the soccer day ended - 4 hours longer than I had anticipated. The only bonus was the company for the day!
Stopped for pizza on the way home because I was pretty sure the BBQ wouldn't seem attractive in the snow tonight. Plus Bill had gone golfing and who knew what time he'd be home - yes even with the snow!
Bill came home shortly after us, and he and the son ate and I snoozed - all that fresh air.
Got up had a quick bite and then the son and I watched three (3) yes 3 episodes of Lost. I don't know who to route for again Ben - or Widmore. They are both good liars. At least Sawyer showed up in a couple of the episodes.
Two more days the daughter will be home.
Off to bed as the tiredness is setting in again.
BODY: Vitamin D - lots of it today.
MIND: Louise Hay "I can release the past and forgive everyone." I think Cheryle and I were talking about this very subject today!!! By the way, this is the second reminder missy! Thanks for the company today.
Good Night
Stacey
