Day 258 - 107 Days to Go

Chaos is back in this house. Actually the daughter is back in the house and now the house is chaotic! No soon picked her up at the airport and she needed the car. So we headed home after the airport, she unpacked - I supervised. Just realized we need alot more hangers in this house. Between the daughter and the son and their clothes. The daughter dropped me of at my dentist appointment. It was here that I heard the most absurd questions ever asked - "So we're putting on the permanent crowns (2) today, would you like freezing?" I should have said, "No I like the feeling of total pain rushing through my body as you spend 30 minutues trying to remove temporary crowns and replace and fit new ones!" So I got my freezing - only it was a little too close to the nerve endings and I felt this shock go up the middle of my bottom lip. The dentist even knew what happened. She must have got her first indication when my entire body flinched and tensed right up. The good news was the freezing would take faster and last longer - yeah!!!
Of course all professionals like to admire their handy work and I was also asked for approval on the crown color. So I was given a mirror and told to have a look before they permanently attached them. I took the mirror, quickly held it up to my mouth; and just as quickly put it down and commented they were just fine. Both the dentist and her assistant started to laugh and asked why I didn't want to take a good look. My answer was quick simple, I thought "If the color is wrong and you have to take them out, send them back and redo this entire procedue (needles for freezing and all), the color was just right.
So I left the dentist office with a squinty eye, and a drooling mouth. It was actually refreshing to know the daughter would be driving home; even if it was only 5 minutes away.
Can you guess what I did next - yup rested the mouth on a pillow. Got up before the son got home from school and made supper. Only one home to eat was the daughter as I had to leave to pick up the son for soccer and Bill was going golfing. Guess there will be leftovers for tomorrow.

Took the son to apex training and ran and got a few groceries from Co-Op. I was feeling a little bad when I left the store. The gentleman who was pushing my cart looked like he was going on 91. I felt like I should be helping him - and so I did. Good on him for not wanting to sit around and be retired!!!

The rest of the evening went by fast - more soccer; put away groceries and cleaned up from supper for 1 (2 if you count the son who ate after he got home at 9:00 pm)

BODY: Sat down and enjoyed a nice cup of hot green tea. Needed to unwind.

Good night
