Where did that come from? Out of no where came this congestion. Well it was more of a sneak up on me kind of thing. Ever since the daughter arrived home with her cough, I've had this little tickle, but nothing really materialized. But last night, after we got home from our Cinco celebration, WHAM. Stuffy, coughing and you don't even want to know what is filling up my lungs. Maybe I should have done some drinking and let the others be D.D. It actually sounds worse than it feels. The only good thing about feeling like this is I can sing some really low songs - with coughing in between lyrics.
I was very impressed will Bill. He handled his celebration quite well. Except for a sore stomach and headache this morning, he wasn't feeling too bad. The real gage is what time he gets to the gym - and it was around 9:30ish. I made a point to remind him about my present. I've decided on Las Vegas and Garth Brooks, and Bill actually wants to come with me. And to think we just about didn't celebrate this year! (not bad for a short notice decision)
So I slept most of the morning and then the son had a soccer game. I thought the team did quite well considering they have only really had one practice. They won 2 to 1. The son thought he had a decent game. I sat in the car and watched so as to not spread my lovely germs around. Snuck out at the end for about 15 minutes to listen to a quick meeting, but tried to avoid contact with people.
Then went home and the son was off to a movie; Bill was at the driving range and the daughter was finishing up her packing. She left for her field course for two weeks. She was pretty excited by the time they left. She'll be fine - I just know it.
Luckily Bill was on his way home from the airport when the son needed a ride home from the movie. So I'm already in my PJ's wearing my new mother's day blanket and ready to take my medicine and sleep in the comfy chair.
BODY: Hot tea and honey sticks all day.
MIND: Louise Hay "Freedom is my divine right."
Good night (hopefully for the entire night)
