Day 281 - 84 Days to Go

89 Days doesn't seem very long! Got alot accomplished today, but not the stuff I had planned. Worked on the school pictures first thing this morning. Four down, 27 to go. Hopefully Betty Ann will have the rest of the pictures for me tomorrow.
Did a quick inventory through the freezer and pantry - decided I had better use up the frozen bananas and the get rid of the rest of the splenda. Banada bread for Dad Wee and Mom Zoback. Made two loaves. Not so good. The splenda just didn't cut it. Guess we'll be eating banana bread around our place for awhile. Had some left over icing from my cupcakes last week, so if you add a touch of that to the bread, it will pass.
Was going through some files in my office and I came across a "Footprint in Time." It is from 1985, and I had it done at the Calgary Stampede. So that it 25 years ago. You give them your date of birth and they tell you what was happening that day/year. Well I was born on a Wednesday. The most popular song was "Take Good Care of My Baby" by Bobby Vee. Most popular movie was West Side Story. Prime Minister of Canada was John G. Diefenbaker. (talk about feeling old) . The Chicago Black Hawks beat the Detroit Red Wings to win the Stanley Cup and Edmonton Eskimos beat the Ottawa Rough Rides for the Grey Cup. The population of Canada was 18,238,000. And the price comparisons are so outrageous, especially when you add today's prices. For example, in 1961 a loaf of bread was .24 cents; in 1985 $1.09 and now $2.00 sometthing. The cost of a new house in 1961 $20,054.03; in 1985 - $85,000.00 and now..... outrageous. Now if someone wanted that information, they can just google it!

Got some of my closet cleaned out. Trying to make room for the new clothes I bought yesterday. I finally through out my favorite T-shirt BOCA - the whole in the front was just getting to big to fix. It was the size of a small plate. It was the best work-out shirt ever.

The son had a soccer game tonight. Didn't go well. They lost 7-2 (might have been more) It was not the same team. Not sure what went wrong. The son said it was the defence. It's almost like there was confusion as to what and where they were supposed to be playing. Hopefully they can figure out the problem before the next game. The son may have to sit out the next practice - his ankle is bothing him again.

After the son's game we popped over to watch cousin Jane's game. It is just so different watching the girls play. They seem so dainty in comparison. Jane's team is very good at passing. They won 1 to 0.

It was 10:00 before we got home. These late nights before a work day are not going to go well.

BODY: 10,000 steps (I was sure there would be more with all the up and down stairs at home today)

MIND: Louise Hay "Today I give myself permission to do absolutely nothing!" - from this moment forward.

Good night
Stacey
