The snow is almost melted and what do my eyes first set sights on - a dandelion! That is just wrong. I got a lot accomplished today or it at least feels like I got alot accomplished.
The son had his last driving lesson this afternoon. I guess I'll just wait for him to suggest a time to take his test. But boy I think he is going to be in for a big learning lesson. He mentioned the other day if he would drive to school on Monday and Wednesday's so he could go to soccer stuff right after school. Whoa wait a minute. What about me! Apparently I don't do anything on those days, so I really don't need a vehicle. My suggestion - get a job and buy a car.
He also had another "driver moment". I'm still waiting for him to take responsibility on this one. Apparently it was all my fault. I dropped the son off to get his hair cut and then I parked right next door to pick up a few groceries. Well the son finished and met me in the store. We were going through check out and the son said he could carry the bags and then asks me for the key. I gave him the key and stayed to finish paying the cashier. Pretty son I hear a car alarm outside and it sounds very similar to my car. Sure enough I walk out the door and there is my car, with all the bags of groceries sitting on the road behind the CRV. The alarm is going off; then stops; then goes off. So I get to the vehicle, open the door and the alarm goes off again. Now there are two alarm systems; the one that is on the regular key and the attachment one. I have been using just the key alarm for the past month or so as the battery was dead in the other alarm. Bill has since replaced the battery for me. Being the horrible mother that I am, I neglected to tell the son that as he grabbed my keys and headed for the vehicle. How could I have forgotten? All it took to fix was a push of the attachment alarm and it was all fixed. Embarrasing - only for one of us, because I have done that too many times to be freaked out anymore.
BODY: 30 minutes on the treamill; ab workout and 10,000 steps. My goal is to keep up the pace for a week; then we'll see from there.
