Day 278 - 87 Days to Go

Ok, I can't keep my secret any longer. Those that know me, know this to be true. I have a job interview tomorrow morning with Carlton Cards. That may not seem like a big deal, but it is one of my dream jobs. There are 4 in total: working with kids; working at the library (I'm waiting until I'm a little older for that); working at Carlton Cards (cause I love to sort) and working at the bottle depot (again cause I love to sort)
When the son was 5 and starting kindergarden; I actually applied and got a job with Carlton cards. The location was our local co-op. It was the perfect job for me to start getting back into the work force. I hadn't worked outside the home since the daughter was born. The best part about the job is getting to work basically your own hours. You have to put so many hours in a week, but you can be pretty flexible about when. So the September the son was starting school, I was starting a new job; I was also planning mom's 75th surprise birthday party. And then that's when it hit. I wasn't sure what it was, but after months of misdiagnosis, it turned out to be chemical imbalance. I had to let the Carleton Cards job go. It wasn't fair to my manager to have him waiting and wondering when I could come back. As sad as I was at the time to lose the job, getting my health on track was much more important. And in looking back, if I hadn't lost the job, I would have never signed up for my Educational Assistant classes at the University and who knows if I would have ever pursued that avenue. So now I have the chance after 12 years to try it again. I'll still be working at the preschool and hopefully this job. I hoped I haven't jinxed it by talking about it.

Moving on, the day was beautiful again today. The son and I even got in an episode of Lost before we left for soccer. While he was at practice, I walked around the community for my walk. It was a hot one.

Came home after practice; cleaned up a bit and headed off to pick up Bill from the airport. He sure was tanned. Smokies on the BBQ and then Bill headed out for more golf on his course and I've just been catching up on paper work since. Early night tonight, because I was up late last night and up early this morning.

Thanks to everyone for their advise on my black turtleneck. I have applied the black permanent marker and hopefully will get a chance to wear my shirt again.

BODY: Over 10,000 steps and 45 minute walk outside. All that vitamin D.

MIND: Louise Hay "I am blessed beyond my fondest dreams." Yes I am

Good Night
