I have good news and I have bad news. What am I saying, I only have good news. What a productive day. Not sure why but everybody was up at the same time this morning, and in the kitchen wanting to make their breakfast; so to avoid collisions and spilled milk, I went back to bed to watch the news for 15 minutes until the son and Bill cleared out. I like my quiet morning reading the paper and eating breakfast.
Worked on laundry until it was time to leave for my interview. First of all thanks to everyone for their positive energy. Met with K.O. and I thought the interview went well. He offered me a small store for the time being. I'm ok with that. It will get me back into plan slowly. It could be two weeks before I start by the time all the paper work is done. Thanks to Cheryle R. for letting me job shadow her tonight at her stores. That was very generous considering she is on a deadline right now. I had a blast and am looking forward to doing this job.
So left the interview around noon; came home and quickly changed and got the grass mowed. I never realized how heavy the lawn mower is when it is so hot out. That is not a complaint about the weather.
The son had a ride to his soccer game, so I was going to skip it entirely. The mom guilt quickly set in. I've missed many games before but if I can't make it, then Bill usually goes. So I cleaned up quickly (Bill was golfing so I didn't need to make supper) and made it to the field before half time. The final score was two-one for the son's team. I'm glad I went. Then of course the son's girlfriend just happen to be playing a club game right afterwards so we stayed and watched that. They also won. We couldn't have asked for better weather for soccer (well actually the son would rather play in the rain than the heat); for watching it was amazing weather.
Dropped the son off at home and I was off to meet Cheryle for the job shadowing. Even when I got home around 11:30 pm, it was still so nice and warm outside. Would have been perfect to sit on the deck with a cool drink (oh wait, I have to work in the morning)
BODY: 13,100 steps - probably from walking Maya and working the cards.
MIND: Louise Hay "Exercise is self-love, and loving yourself is the key to success." This one is so true. Make a note to love myself more.
Good night
