Thanks again for the lovely weather today. Thank you also to De for the beautiful picture she made of our family visit to Dallas. I wonder if you get your picture on the wall of fame more than once!!!!!
Was up way to early this morning; so I had breakfast and read the paper. Then I went back to bed. Only woke up at 10:00 when the phone went off. Good thing too, because the son had a soccer game at 12:30.
Looks like the son is speaking to me again. He asked if he could drive and I suggested it might not be a good idea until we deal with our little disagreement. So I drove and we talked about it. Not sure if we agreed on a solution, but we're talking.
The soccer game was held at the new turf fields. I love how they are set up. Spectators must sit up by or on the bleachers. It just seems better and more professional some how for the players. Although the distance doesn't stop the side line coaching. Unfortunately they lost by 1 point (1-0) The ref called a questionable call and the other team got a penalty shot. Otherwise, it would have been a tied game.
Dropped the son off at home and ran to pick up a few groceries at Co-op. Then fell asleep while I waited for the son to clean up.
The girlfriend was coming over. I love when she comes over because the son cleans up the basement (even the bathroom)
So we BBQ'd some smokies; ate on the deck; watched some baby videos of the son and played al a little bit of Mah Jong. Just waiting for them to put out the fire pit and take the girlfriend home. Good thing too, because I'm ready to go to bed.
