Today was one of those emotional rollercoaster ride days. First I'm up, then I'm down, and so on and so on. I won't go into detail about everything. The biggest news was my doctor is closing his practice. I have been going to Dr. Yee for 12 years now. He was the best dr. I ever had. He got me through my chemical imbalance. He put up with my questions and debating medical issues. He is a great guy. He's leaving to enjoy more of his family life. Good for him for not waiting until he's old and gray. Sad for me.
The good news - I have a job interview on Monday - thanks to Cheryl for that. Can't wait. I am so excited. I don't want to jinx it so I won't go into too much detail - yet!
Drove Bill to the airport this morning. He's off golfing for the weekend. I got a few little things done around the house; pulled all the dandelions; brought out the patio furniture; cleaned the appliances; washed some pillows.
I even tried tye dying. Ok, it was a sorry attempt. I have this black umbro turtleneck. It's great for when I'm walking outside int he morning and it's cold. Or watching a soccer game and it's really cold. Anyway it had these two white spots on the front. I've tried washing the shirt over and over and they just wouldn't come out. They were located right on the front of the shirt. So I decided to try something extreme and if it didn't work just get rid of the shirt. So I tied up the shirt in a bunch of shoelaces. Then I put it in the washing machine with hot, bleachy water. I was a little nervous and excited at the same time. When I took it out and removed the strings - it was still black, no lines and all but one of the spots came out. Hmm. Guess I try something else one last time - any suggestions friends!!!
Son had soccer tonight, so I ran a few errands. Picked up my mom's list of stuff and dropped it off at her place. She needed strips for her blood monitoring machine. The druggist at Shoppers Drug Mart was so nice. He asked if she needed a new machine (they apparently are supposed to be changed out every 2 years. So she got that free too.

How about a black permanent markers?
ReplyDeleteRitz (sp?) dye and dye it back black....though a Sharpie does sound easier.
ReplyDeleteif there is any polyester in the fabric, the dye job might not work.
